NSportz successfully completed the 3rd Edition of its Inter Corporate Box Cricket Tournament on Sunday 6th December at the Arena Next to Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Andher East.

On a nippy Sunday morning there were 12 teams competing in a league(four groups of 3 teams each) cum knockout format to emerge champions and bring accolades to their corporate apart from thoroughly enjoying themselves while playing the sport. What was encouraging to see was there were many first timers who found it extremely exciting to play on the astro turf, with the different bowling and batting power rules.

Group A qualifiers for the quarter finals were CRP Stunners & Essel Rocketeers helped by the absence of the TCS team whereas Afcons Infrastructure and TZ (Timezone) Strikers qualified from group B with Pfizer losing out in the bargain. Group C had strong contenders TCS - Property Damagers and Mahindra Insurance Brokers (MIBL) qualify with the K&M (Kalyaniwalla & Mistry) Warriors losing out whereas Essel Punters & Citrus Pay qualified from group D helped by the absence of the last edition finalists Capita

The quarter finals were serious business with CRP getting the better of TZ Strikers in the first quarter final. Afcons who were looking very strong were given a big scare by the Essel Rocketeers who could not sustain the momentum and eventually lost out. TCS Property Damagers won convincingly over team Citrus & MIBL got the better of the Essel Punters team in again a exciting match.

The semi finals were again closely fought with TCS prevailing over the dark horses CRP Stunners & Afcons Warriors narrowly prevailing over MIBL who again stumbled at the semi final stage as in the previous edition. The all important final had some tense moments before the TCS Property Damagers prevailed over the Afcons Warriors

NSportz congratulates all the participating teams for a great tournament played in some good spirit.
